Director, Social Media (Full Time)

Job Overview

  • Assess, refine, and execute a comprehensive content strategy for the brand’s owned social channels, along with measurable channel-by-channel goal setting
  • Oversee a holistic content calendar and budget for all owned social channels and define necessary cross-functional communication practices
  • Partner with Digital Analytics team to own and review monthly reports and summarize actionable insights for audience growth and engagement
  • Regularly conduct brainstorms and pitch-back sessions with cross-functional partners in Marketing
  • Partner with Creative team to develop social-specific content for campaign and evergreen moments
  • Effective management of Social Content Manager
  • Keep the brand at the forefront of digital storytelling on social media through innovative storytelling approaches
  • Accelerate the growth of our audience size while maintaining best in industry engagement
  • Identify new/owned storytelling channels/opportunities with high potential for the brand and develop necessary strategic frameworks to pursue those opportunities

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of editorial experience at a magazine running social
  • Well versed in using tools such as: Canva, Dash Hudson, Abode, Trello
  • Experience creating and leveraging relationships with influencers and content creators in a paid capacity is a plus. 
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and autonomously in a fast paced startup environment

Head of Growth (Full Time)

Job Overview

  • Develop a world-class, high performing team that can scale consistent, bar-raising digital marketing in line with Topicals' growth plans.
  • Manage monthly budget and efficiency target while executing against Topicals' 2021 marketing goals and objectives
  • Define strategy for identifying new and optimizing existing channels in partnership with brand and creative teams to scale and diversify Topicals' customer acquisition efforts.
  • Manage company wide marketing budget efficiently in order to help Topicals achieve our short and long term sustainable growth objectives and targets.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Managerial experience, with proven record of building and leading driven and dynamic teams
  • You will be comfortable working with complex challenges, appreciate white space and autonomy, and understand the value of a rapid test and learn approach
  • You will be savvy about how to leverage large data sets to create sophisticated advertising programs
  • You’ll have a global mindset, and be equally comfortable working with marketers, product managers, engineers, finance managers, brand managers and teams ranging from creative to analytics
  • 5+ years of progressive responsibility including experience in online marketing, product management, and/or growth team
  • Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, affiliates and search engine marketing
  • Deep analytical abilities, especially with respect to experimental design and analysis
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team of at least 4

Brand Marketing Lead (Full Time)

Job Overview

  • Support the development of a 2021 brand marketing calendar, putting forward innovative and scrappy ideas that ladder up to our larger strategy and have clear brand awareness and brand equity goals
  • Begin executing against our brand marketing initiatives for 2021, leading project management and reporting
  • Begin executing against our partnership strategy, leading 2-3 meaningful brand partnerships for 2021
  • Take ownership of the budget tracking for brand marketing
  • Own quarterly awareness report, working cross functionally with partners from Finance, Social Insights and Strategy
  • Own the go-to-market (GTM) process for all brand marketing initiatives
  • Serve as an integral member of the brand marketing team, consistently bringing thoughtful, first-to-market ideas and a can-do attitude to the table--you are the person we rely on to get stuff done
  • Establish a reliable network of creative and marketing partners to support us across a number of projects, including events, activations, content production and community-building 
  • Develop a learning review and socialization process for brand marketing projects to give executive and company-wide visibility into our work and demonstrate a commitment to adapting tactics as we test and learn

Experience

  • 4+ years of relevant brand marketing experience
  • A mix of agency and in-house experience preferred, working for brands that have robust brand marketing programs
  • A multidisciplinary marketing background preferred, including PR/comms, events, partnerships, influencer programs and campaign strategy and execution
  • Growth mindset, always thinking about how we can reach new people in new ways while maintaining what it is that makes Topicals special 
  • Optimistic, can-do approach to project execution and work in general 
  • Experience managing external partners
  • Expert at navigating and managing multi-layered, cross-functional projects
